About us
The Friends of St Joseph’s School for the Hearing Impaired was established in 2011. All of our trustees are volunteers. We work closely with the school’s leadership team to identify dedicated projects that help the school function better and expand, as well as ways to improve the lives of students, and support teachers. Our trustees are based in Europe and Sierra Leone. In many cases we offer practical advice and support alongside funding. We are a passionate, dedicated team, and many of us have worked in Sierra Leone, currently live and work there or are from the country. To date we have enabled supporters around the world to donate over £256,000 to the school.
